Alison Rourke



lison Rourke is a writer, journalist, editor and film maker who has covered stories across the globe for the world's leading news organisations. In print, Alison writes for the London-based Guardian and Observer newspapers. She contributed to the book Wikileaks: Inside Julian Assange’s War on Secrecy, published by Guardian News & Media. In London, Alison worked for the BBC’s flagship international radio and TV news and current affairs programmes. She covered stories for the BBC from Russia to the United States, India to Afghanistan. She has also contributed to the BBC's From Our Own Correspondent programme. In Australia, Alison has worked for the ABC's Foreign Correspondent and Lateline programmes covering stories in Sydney, the Middle East and North Korea. Alison has also written journalism training programmes for the United Nations.



 Lisa Upton


isa Upton is a journalist and film maker with extensive experience in television, radio and print. She has worked for the ABC, BBC and SBS and reported from Sydney, London, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Pakistan, Hong Kong and Cambodia. She has worked on programs including World News Australia, Dateline and Insight at SBS television as well as The World Today, Europe Direct and HARDtalk at BBC World television. Lisa has also designed media programmess in a number of developing countries, including Pakistan where she spent three years with the international non-government organisation, Internews. More recently, she has been a regular guest on ABC radio 702 in Sydney and a contributor to the book Adventures In Caravanastan   published by Random House.
